  • What is WordPress? WordPress Setup and WordPress Usage
  • WordPress is a content management system (CMS) using PHP and MySql. The GPL-licensed WordPress, which was started to be developed in 2001, is considered to be the continuation of the B2 / Cafelog project.
  • WordPress is an open source web software that can be edited and published for all kinds of content, not just a blog system, with its very fast indexing, ease of use, opening speed, flexible structure and tens of thousands of different interfaces. Because of the open source code, each user can create and use interfaces and attachments in accordance with their needs.

  • With a major update on May 7, 2015, developer teams added a number of new features to WordPress, from new media edits to audio and video playlists, live component previews to gallery previews. WordPress is constantly being updated. (On March 6, 2017, WordPress 4.7.3 was released to the public.)

  • WordPress Setup
  • Setting up WordPress is easy. First download the latest version from WordPress official site.
  • Open the compressed file you downloaded with Winrar or Winzip.
  • Export the files to your home directory using an FTP program similar to FileZilla. Put files in the public_html folder on linux and in the httpdocs folder on windows.
  • Then create a new database and note the information in a corner. (Db name, db user name and password)
  • Enter your site name in the address line of your browser.
  • The installation will start automatically. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

  • WordPress Usage
  • Many plugins and contacts of WordPress operate with load / install semantics. You can search for and download your favorite themes and add-ons in WordPress or google, and easily download them to your site.
