  • George Orwell, real name Eric Arthur Blair (born June 25, 1903, Bihar – January 21, 1950, London) is among the leading writers of 20th century English literature. He is known for his novel Nineteen Eighty-Four and the Big Brother concept he created on this romance. His stance against sharpness, intelligence, social injustice, awareness and totalitarianism in his works is his signature.
