The Demyrished Man (1952), written by Alfred Bester and The Stars My Destination (1957), written by Philip K. Dick. (1968) – (Andoridler Electric Sheep Dreams), K.W. Dr.Adder, written by Jeter (written in 1972 but not published until 1984), Thomas Pynchon’s Gravity Rainbow (1973), John Brunner’s Shockwave Rider (1975), and True Names by Vernor Vinge (1981) are works containing strong themes and images of cyberpunk tactics in the named books. In the present day, Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash (1992) is a work that carries the Cyberpunk period to the Post-Cyberpunk era.

Neuromancer was published in 1984 and later became the true representative of CyberPunk, completing the Sprawl Trilogy along with Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive.
