CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

  • What does css mean?
  • CSS, the short name of Cascading Style Sheets, is a web technology that provides a wide range of possibilities in terms of text and formatting besides HTML.

  • CSS helps us to define how the HTML objects will look. It enables us to flexibly change and diversify many features such as color, font, font size. Rather than specifying compatible colors and fonts on each page, you can define them in one go with CSS and use them on all web pages. This reduces the page size and makes it practical to update within pages.

  • CSS codes can be embedded in HTML or in different files with a .css extension. The placement of these codes in a separate file makes them common to many HTML pages. Makes it easy to format the same template for different devices.
